How to Eat Oreos

This is another shot of Eva, our youngest (not for long) daughter. I surprised her while she was inhaling eating a couple of Oreos, and quickly setup an umbrella to her left, and another flash to her right. The second flash never fired, so all I had was the light from the umbrella. Fortunately, I was able to salvage the photo in Photoshop, and come up with a version that I am relatively pleased with.

You can see the original version in color here. I don't usually shoot any photos of my children with umbrellas or more than one flash, but this time I thought I would try to imitate this photo. Wrong timing ;). Anyway, I don't think the lighting, post processing, or any other technical data is important in this photo. It's the type of smile, which is something we don't get too often from Eva.

On a completely unrelated matter, I have decided to turn my twitter page/profile/whatever into daily tips on photography. I have been trying to figure out what all the fuss is about with Twitter, and I think I finally found my "place" on Twitter. Ironically, I am writing this just minutes after I posted a photo in which I made several childish mistakes. Oh well... we learn from our mistakes. In fact, that's exactly my goal with the whole Twitter thing: that I, and hopefully you all, will learn from my discoveries, mistakes, and revelations as a growing photographer.
