Although it's been very busy time for us at Made in Murfreesboro, I did manage to get this photo on my way to taking some family portraits a few days ago.
I have been wanting to take photos of this tree (about 20 miles south of Murfreesboro on I24) for quite a while, but I either didn't have my camera with me, or the weather/time of day was not appropriate. This time, however, I had my camera with me, as well as a very nice, soft light coming through the clouds straight on the tree.
I took this photo with my Nikon D300 and Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 lens at 1/80s, f/6.3, and ISO 200, handheld. In terms of post processing, I adjusted the overall contrast with a couple of curves, and worked quite a bit on the colors before the BW conversion. You can see the original photo here.
On a different note, I have been working for a few months on the new Made in Murfreesboro website, and I finally had enough content to put it up for testing online at http://madeinmurfreesboro.com. It's been a very exciting learning experience to design it on a Wordpress platform, and while it's not completely finished, I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
In case I won't post another photo by Christmas, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
