For about two weeks now, I have been walking to and from work (about 2.5 miles each way). Working on the computer on various projects has taken a toll on my weight, and since I cannot stand the thought of working out, I decided to do that which I did all my life while I was in Romania: walk. Walking does miracles for me on a psychological level, and I am hoping to have some physical results pretty soon too. Fortunately, Murfreesboro is a great small city, and there are walkways everywhere around downtown (I was on Vine Street when I took this photo).

This morning I had my camera with me, and while I try to stay away from taking photos of people I don't know, their homes, kids, or pets, I couldn't resist taking a few snapshots of this cat. It's not just the cat... it's the colors, the framing, the lighting, etc. It all seems to have worked out very well together.
