A week after last year's Good Friday tornado that we had in Murfreesboro, I was driving through another storm on HWY 96 going towards Lascassas, TN. After about twenty minutes of driving through the pouring rain, I was able to get in front of the storm and take a couple of photos. You cannot tell from this photo, but there were very dramatic clouds all around me, and they all looked as scary as this one. Worst part was that they were all catching up with me, which made the next ten minutes very tense. Fortunately, there were no tornadoes reported anywhere close to me.
I don't remember why I didn't process this photo when I took it, but I had forgotten about it until today, when I was sorting through the hundreds of thousands of photos on my computer (snow storms are nowhere as cool as Spring ones... hence the added computer work). Although I spent quite a bit of time in post processing, most of my adjustments had to do with correcting the perspective and a few local adjustment curves. The sky is very similar to the original photo (global contrast and clarity adjustment in ACR).
